PLACE AND FINISH

At Broughton Concrete we strive to be the leader in the flatwork concrete industry. We specialize in providing a service to contractors that demand an excellent finished product. Our target size concrete placement is 25,000+ square feet and we have the ability to place and have placed more than 100,000 square feet in a single placement. We believe by eliminating construction joints larger placements provide the end user with the flattest floor possible. We utilize the latest equipment and an experienced labor force to provide excellence in concrete floor construction.

SOFF CUT AND VACUUM

Broughton Concrete utilizes Soff Cut saws for early entry sawn control joints. Sawing is one of the most important steps in the flatwork finishing process. A floor that is saw cut properly with look and function in the manner that it was intended. A perfect floor that is not sawn properly will be ruined aesthetically and functionally. We utilize a Pulse Vac vacuum system along with our Soff Cut saws which vacuums the dust as the floor is sawn and prevents the dusty mess and also keeps the floor from being scarred by the saw. At Broughton Concrete we take saw cutting flatwork very seriously and have crews and equipment that are designated for only sawing.

CURING COMPOUND SEALING

Broughton Concrete understands that a job is not complete until the flatwork has been properly cured. We know that improper curing and ruin an otherwise perfect flatwork placement. Proper curing allows the flatwork to retain moisture and gain strength as it ages. Curing can come in many forms whether it is a spray cure, sealer, bond breaker, or wet curing we have the equipment and experience to provide our customer with a properly cured and aesthetically pleasing finished product.

Established in 1999, Todd Broughton formed and launched Broughton Construction upon returning to Kentucky after years pouring concrete while attending high school and learning the business from a relative in Georgia. The company’s early days began on a farm in Shelbyville, Kentucky where a small barn housed equipment and a 6’ x 6’ space off the laundry room was our office!

With a real passion for excellence, hard work, speed and superior attention to detail, Broughton grew the business and expanded from residential to commercial work. Customers were quickly impressed with Broughton’s integrity, willingness to work long hours to complete a job on time, and commitment to unsurpassed quality…. values that are the core of our company’s work ethic today.

By 2006, Broughton Construction was employing over fifty employees, pouring over 9,000,000 square feet of concrete a year and servicing customers in Tennessee, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. Notable customers included organizations such as: Lowe’s, Wal-Mart, Kroger, Humana, UPS…. to name just a few. The company’s reputation for excellence grew, and it was not too long until Broughton was recognized nation-wide to be a leader in the industry. In 2008, Broughton was awarded the Golden Trowel Award at the Las Vegas World of Concrete Convention.

To position the company for further expansion, Broughton Construction partnered with AJAE Private Equity, LLC in 2012. This partnership not only propelled Broughton’s ability to serve its core markets in Kentucky and expand into new markets.

Today, Broughton Construction is a vibrant commercial and industrial flatwork finishing company. We utilize state-of-the-art equipment and employ an excellent team of ACI certified finishers whose commitment to safety, quality and speed of service is second to none.
